27, 2010 Dynamic data from the Boston Fed: an interactive map from the Federal Reserve in Boston shows trends in foreclosures, subprime mortgage originations, and house-price changes across Massachusetts since 1990. The Middle Skills Job Report, part of the Skills2Compete Massachusetts campaign, advocates for “partnerships, pathways, and proportionate investment” to help MA workers advance towards middle-skill jobs. Childhood Poverty Persistence: Facts and Consequences: data brief from the Urban Institute finds that 49 percent of American babies born into poor families will be poor for at least half their childhoods and 37% of African American children are persistently poor compared to 5% of white children. Community Indicators Consortium (CIC): is a global learning network and community of practice for people engaged in the field of community indicators organized under the principles of shared informaiton, collaboration and open dialogue to advance the art and science of indicators to measure the progress of communities. Participatory Chinatown: an interactive, 3-D game designed to inform the master planning process of Boston's Chinatown by allowing users to become "virtual residents" tasked with navigating the neighborhood to find a job, housing or a place to socialize.
